I’m an international biodiversity scientist who delights in the journey, sharing discoveries and aiming to make a positive impact along the way. I have a background in research exploring how insects deliver ecosystem functions and services, from primary tropical rainforests in Borneo to agricultural pastures in New Zealand. I also have experience in science communication and enjoy working on creative projects. I am energised by learning through travelling, meeting new people, and exchanging ideas.

The signature client service I offer is the “Nature Positive Business Plan”. I also deliver tailored educational workshops and speaking sessions about biodiversity for businesses and other organisations. Whether you're looking for an accessible introduction or a customised deep dive. Please see my services.

I am passionate about taking action and finding solutions that have huge impact on science and society. Alongside my job I am building The Biodiversity Bank, a not-for-profit organisation to prioritise investment towards collecting and mobilising biodiversity data at scale.

Biodiversity matters now more than ever, and I think we need more stories from people doing the work. The Biodiversity Impact podcast is my way of starting conversations with scientists, entrepreneurs, sustainability experts and creators who are working towards a nature-positive future for people, planet and profit. I hope that by having these conversations we can find new and creative opportunities to connect and work together to have a positive biodiversity impact. I think we owe it to the future generations.

Hi, I’m Fez.
